A dull day to start but it improved as time progressed and we finally had a good sky with lots of sunshine and a very busy Sun with some 3 prominences and one largish spot. A full day with good crowds. The Yorkshire Air Ambulance helicopter paid us a visit too.
Supporting us were the usual crew, Rhys, Dave and Lesley, Sandra and Elaine and Paul. We also had visits from Tony and Mrs. Tony, Peter Dawson and Max and Wendy. We also had a strange but nice woman, Linda, who carried a ram's horn for us to blow and tried to convince us that the Earth was flat and the Sun and Moon were discs, not spheres, and the blue sky was really water!
I told her that a long time ago I'd made a horn and used it to herd cows, but she didn't believe me, but I'm sure it's true. Photos by Paul Booker of Wong.
